Matt West
Saxophone Solo Musician

Matt West Born in Los Angeles, California, and has performed in over 50 countries at some of the world’s best and most prestigious venues.

At the age of 23 he came to Dubai where his talent has led him to being flown around the world to perform for international royalty and Prime Ministers and diplomats.

Having performed in some of the best nightclubs in Ibiza, Matt has also been flown out to perform for the F1 Gran Prix races in Japan, Mexico, Canada, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi as part of the official Paddock Club entertainment.

His versatility with music genres and performances have made him sought after internationally as well as the UAE.

Ziryab
Guitarist Solo Musician

Cassiano Guitarist, when he lived in Rio De Janeiro years with famous artists in Brazil and touring, he worked as Guitarist with four bands and on productions at the SK2 Studio. At the infamous Rio Carnival in February 2007, he realised that he was not fully content with his life. His friend invited him to visit Dubai, U.A.E. and there, in just two months, he found faith and spirituality in Islam. The same year, he came back to Brazil and came upon the story about Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens). He prayed that he would meet Yusuf Islam. Six months later, he came back to Dubai to work with an entertainment company. In less than a month, he met Yusuf Islam. Following his meeting, he worked with Jamal Records as the in house composer and producer from May 2008 to March 2009. He is also an artist at the Beloved Musika division of Jamal Records. Currently he is working on his debut album called “The Return of Ziryab”, In Dubai, he has recorded guitar on a George Harisson cover with Yusuf Islam, which is dedicated to the victims of the Gaza crisis. Ziryab now is the leading Guitarist in Dubai.

With influences from their respective countries; Denmark, England, Hungary and the Philippines, The Swing Revue have been drawing in audiences from across the U.A.E for over four years with their authentic choice of swing tunes and energy on stage.

Mixing well-loved jazz and swing melodies from the 20s through to the 50s with original compositions, The Swing Revue have developed an organic reflection of the swing era ambience.

Carrie Gibson’s Nuvo
Soul Trio

With their soulful grooves and impeccable musicianship, Carrie Gibson’s Nuvo Soul  has listeners grooving from the first note. 

 

Shortlisted for Best Band in Time Out Dubai’s Nightlife Awards in 2018, Carrie Gibson on vocals,  Joseph Bashorun on keys, originally session musicians in Canada, USA. and the UK. For JBRWOW Special Valentines Day performance Nuvo Soul welcomes the spicy German Cortez (from Columbia) on drums and percussion, as their special guest. Collectively these musicians have played all over North America, Europe, Asia, and South America, backing artists across the board, such as Ricky Martin,  Annie Lennox and Ronnie Jordan, to name a few.   

They have called the UAE home for more than a decade, and now they have come together to mix elements of jazz, soul, funk, and latin, inspired by the legends of jazz such as Sinatra, Ella and Jobim, all the way to modern day icons like Amy Winehouse and Jamiroquai. An exhilarating combination!

Lady J & The Royal Vagabonds

Lady J & The Royal Vagabonds is a modern blues-rock adventure with an old soul.

 

This Canadian/Australian trio will take you on a musical ride from the roadhouse to the record store as they blend their original tunes with traditional blues, rock, country and pop hits. You’ll hear classics you know and love, recent chart-toppers with a bluesy twist, and a few musical surprises guaranteed to come together for a foot-stomping, rollicking good time.
The founding members of Lady J & The Royal Vagabonds, Janelle Thomas and Félix Fréchette, met in 2006 and continue to perform hundreds of shows together each year, with the unshakeable groove of Dave Hewett on bass.
In residence at The Music Room from January 2015.September 2017, over the last year the members of Lady J & The Royal Vagabonds have performed at a variety of other notable venues in UAE, including Hard Rock Café and McGettigans. As well, in October 2017 the band opened the Jazz Garden Series for 6000 festival.goers at Al Habtoor Grand, and then rocked the crowd at Middle East Film and Comic Con in April of this year.
